Our Horse Shows

In partnership with Bent Creek Farm, Slaughter2Success Equine Rescue proudly hosts two educational or schooling horse shows each year, featuring both eventing and dressage discipline-specific competition. Our goal is to provide a welcoming, supportive environment where riders of all experience levels can build confidence, gain valuable feedback, and enjoy quality competition in a safe setting.

Unlike many traditional competitions, our events place learning first. Coaches are welcome to provide instruction throughout the day—including on the cross-country course during the event —creating a unique opportunity for riders to learn in real time while prioritizing safety and horse welfare.​​ We offer Ride-a-Test opportunities for dressage riders from First through Fourth Level, as well as eventing riders from Fantasy to Training Level. These sessions allow competitors to receive personalized feedback in a relaxed, educational atmosphere designed to help horse and rider progress.

Beyond the competition, our shows are a fun day for the entire equestrian community of Southeastern Iowa. Visitors can browse our equine thrift store, enjoy concessions, and take part in a variety of rotating vendors, demonstrations, and family-friendly activities. Every purchase and donation helps support the rescue and rehabilitation of horses at Slaughter2Success.​​ Whether you're looking to compete, learn, volunteer, or simply spend the day with fellow horse lovers, we'd love to welcome you to one of our upcoming shows!
